NCAAF Week 3

The upsets are already happening, folks!  Wisconsin takes a stunning home loss.  Auburn can’t close it out at home.  Now that we are officially going into Week 4 we will start separating the pretenders vs the contenders.  Here are Paradise Picks Top 10 after week 3.

1.)  Alabama

Roll Tide again.  What a performance against Ole Miss.  Yeah, Ole Miss is bad but that bad?  Alabama could of scored more points if they didn’t call the dogs off.  Moving on this week to Texas A&M as the Aggies travel to Tuscaloosa.   Texas A&M looked tough against Clemson back in Week 2 however that was played in their stadium.  Can they give Roll Tide a game?  Take the +26.5 against Alabama.  Lean:  Texas A&M +26.5

2.)  Clemson

Clemson remains in the two spot even though they played Georgia Southern last week.  Lucky for them they probably needed it after coming off such an emotional win against the Aggies.  The Tiger couldn’t cover the spread last week.  Can they get the job done against Georgia Tech?  Yes, Paradise Picks believe they can.  Lean:  Clemson -15

3.)  Georgia

Georgia remains at #3 because they traveled to South Carolina and dominated them.  This week they played Middle Tennessee and did exactly what they were supposed to do.  Win.  However, they didn’t cover the -32.5 point spread which was another Paradise Picks lean.  The Bulldogs travel to Missouri this week and open as -14 point favorites.  The Bulldogs are much more talented than the Tigers and should cover this week.  Lean:  Georgia -14

4.)  Ohio State

What a game this week against TCU.  Talk about speed!  TCU gave every effort to win that game, but the Buckeyes come out on top.  There could be a massive loss with Joey Bosa being out for a significant amount of time.  For now, he is week to week.  Tulane comes to town and the Buckeyes are -37 point favorites.  That’s a large number specially after coming off an emotional road win.  However, the Buckeyes find a way to cover.  Lean:  Ohio State -37

5.) Oklahoma

Previously, number 7 in the Top 10 Oklahoma moves up 2 spots because the teams in front of them lost.  The Sooners continue to dominate teams.  Iowa State tried to make it a game, but it was too much Boomer Sooner.  This week Army comes to down.  The Golden Knights like to play ball control offense and have a solid defense.  Expect the Golden Knights to keep it within the spread.  Lean:  Army +33

6.)  Notre Dame

Vanderbilt traveled to South Bend to take on the Irish last week, and the Commodores had every change to win that game.  The Irish are still having issues pushing the ball down field with QB Brandon Wimbush.  They will need to get that corrected if they want to contend for a Playoff spot.  This week the Irish travel to Wake Forest to take on the Demon Deacons.  Currently, the spread sits at -7.5 for the Irish.  They should win by two scores.  Lean:  Notre Dame -7.5

7.)  LSU

Making their first appearance in the Paradise Picks Top 10 is the LSU Tigers.  They have had a very impressive start to the season.  Beating Miami (FL) in week 1 and then last week escaping Auburn in the final seconds of the game.  This week Louisiana Tech travels to Baton Rouge as the Tigers currently sit at -21 point favorites.  Expect Louisiana Tech to keep it closer than the experts think!  Lean:  Louisiana Tech +21

8.)  Auburn

Auburn drops down a few spots with the loss to LSU.  However, they are still in the Top 10 and have everything in front of them to play for.  The Tigers take on the Razorbacks this week in Little Rock.  Auburn knows they can’t afford to lose this game, and that is bad news for Arkansas.  The Tigers cover the -30 points spread.  Lean:  Auburn -30

9.)  Washington

The Huskies had an impressive road win at Utah this past week.  Honestly, Washington could be ranked higher, but they stay at number 9 for now because of the loss to Auburn in Week 1.  Arizona State comes to Seattle at +17 underdogs.  Yes, the Huskies had somewhat of an emitional win on Saturday and this could be a let down spot, but they know they must win every game from here on out to make the playoffs.  Lean:  Washington -17

10.)  Virginia Tech

The Hokies didn’t get a chance to play in Week 3 because of hurricane Florence, and they won’t be penalized for that.  Therefore, they remain in the 10 spot.  The win against FSU in Week 1 isn’t look as good anymore, but that doesn’t mean Va Tech isn’t good.  This week the Hokies travel to Old Dominion.  Yes, that Old Dominion.  Currently, the line sits at -27 in favor of Va Tech and with an extra week of rest they should cover.  Lean:  Virginia Tech -27
