Recap of NCAAF Week 6| Heading into Week 7

This is the time of year upsets start to happen.  Week 7 has a lot of interesting match-ups that could shake up the Power Rankings.  Last week Texas bested Oklahoma and LSU couldn’t escape the swamp.  This week 7 ranked teams go on the road to play unranked opponents. What’s in store for Week 7?

1.)  Alabama

Let’s keep this short and sweet.  Roll Tide is on a collision course with LSU on November 3rd.  Nothing else matters.  This week they play Missouri and next week they play at Tennessee.  Both will be wins.  Can Alabama cover the 28 points spread against Missouri?  Yes, yes they can.

Lean:  Alabama -28

2.)  Ohio State

Last week Ohio State hosted Indiana and ParadisePicks told you that the Buckeyes would be flat.  The first half there was no emotion.  The second half the Buckeyes pulled ahead but couldn’t cover the spread.  This week Ohio State host Minnesota and the line currently sits at -29.5 points.  The Buckeyes will be refocused and will cover the spread with ease.  Watch Dwayne Haskins continue to put up Heisman numbers.

Lean:  Ohio State – 29.5

3.)  Georgia

Georgia takes it’s talents on the road to battle the LSU Tigers.  This should be a must watch game.  Georgia really hasn’t been tested this year, and LSU is coming off a tough loss against Florida down in the swamp.  Currently the line sits at -7 in favor of the Bulldogs.  That seems like a lot of points, and if this was a night game down in death valley ParadisePicks would agree.  However, this is a 3:30 PM EST kickoff and that plays in favor of Georgia.

Lean:  Georgia -7

4.)  Notre Dame

Strength of schedule matters.  When you beat Michigan, Stanford, and Virginia Tech on the road you deserve to be in the Top 4 of the Power Rankings.  This week the Irish come back to South Bend to host the Pitt Panthers.  Yes, Pittsburgh upset Syracuse last week but don’t expect that to happen this week.  The line sits at 21 points in favor of the Fighting Irish.  Notre Dame rolls.

Lean:  Notre Dame

5.)  Clemson

Clemson keeps winning and at this point in the season that is all that matters.  However, they sit on the outside looking in to the Top 4 because of strength of schedule.  Yes, they traveled to Texas A&M and won, but that is their only impressive win.  This week Clemson is on a bye week.  They play NC State next week at 3:30 PM EST.

Lean: Bye Week

6.)  Texas

Welcome back Texas.  Tom Herman calling plays makes them a different team.  Herman is the best play caller in College Football.  Again, look at the schedule and they have beat USC, TCU, and Oklahoma.  Texas isn’t going anywhere and is here to stay.  Expect them to be playing for the Big 12 Championship.  This week they play Baylor in Austin, TX.  It’s going to be hard for Texas to get up for this game, and they are currently favored by 17 points.  Expect Baylor to keep it close but the Longhorns to win.

Lean:  Baylor +17

7.)  Washington

The Huskies continue to win after their week one loss to Auburn.  If they win out you can expect the them to be in the playoffs.  However, this week they travel to Oregon and that is going to be a tough challenge.  The Ducks have one of the best home fields in college football.  Currently, the Huskies are 3 point favorites.  This will be the first upset of the weekend.

Lean:  Oregon +3

8.)  Penn State

Penn State lost to Ohio State two weeks ago.  Even with that loss the Nittany Lions have everything in front of them, and they are coming off a bye last week which gives them an extra week to prepare for Michigan State.  The Spartans haven’t looked all that great this season and currently are 13.5 point underdogs.  This is a spot that that the Spartans typically thrive in, but with Penn State getting the extra week of prepreation expect the Nittany Lions to roll.

Lean:  Penn State -13.5

9.)  Oklahoma

The only loss the Sooners have is to their rival Texas.  What a game that was by the way.  The Sooners stay in the Top 10 because they are extremely explosive.  This week the Sooners are on a bye, but will come back and play TCU which should be a shootout.

Lean: Bye Week

10.)  West Virginia

Yes, we hear you guys.  ParadisePicks isn’t giving the Mountaineers any love, but who have they played?  This week they travel to Iowa State and should win right?  Currently West Virginia is -4.5 favorites and this will be another upset on Saturday.  Matt Campbell is one of the coaches on the rise, and this is a perfect spot for the Cyclones to get the win.

Lean:  Iowa State +4.5
