GOLDEN ONE’S SUPREME COURT — This year’s Golden State Warriors (63-13) team is already considered elite within its storied franchise history. 59 wins was the previous franchise mark set by hall of fame legend Rick Barry and the 1975-76 team, coached by Al “The Destroyer” Attles.
Along with the 1997 Chicago Bulls and the 1972 Los Angeles Lakers, the Warriors could possibly own a 69-13 regular season record. Both Chicago and Los Angeles won titles during those respected years. The only team to top 69 wins was the 1996 Chicago Bulls (72-10), who were led by Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman.
With six games left in the regular season the
Warriors have the opportunity to solidify themselves as one of the best who ever did it on the NBA hardwood. If the Warriors plan on reaching history they will have to start Sunday night against the San Antonio Spurs(50-26).
