Round and round the players go and as the trade deadline draws ever closer, it is almost impossible to predict where your favorite player could end up.

So far we have seen a few shake ups and surprises, with a lot of action. Just ask the Mariners, who made a huge play for Dave Phelps. It will be interesting to see what other teams join the shuffle. Here are some of the trades on deck.

Athletics: RHP Sonny Gray is rumored to be going to the Astros who are in desperate need of some heat in their balloon. Also in the running for Gray is the Yankees.

Dodgers: Optioned RHP Sergio Romo which could put them in a prime grab position as the deadline draws nearer.

Rays: Looking for relief options after the release of Danny Farquhar.

Brewers: Currently on the prowl for RHP Justin Verlander. The Cubs seem to be in pursuit as well.

Marlins: Looking to replace David Phelps, are investigating AJ Ramos,  but they will have some stiff competition with the Rockies.

Mets: They are looking to unload Addison Reed, who would be an asset to any bullpen. Also rumored is a trade of Lucas Duda for Yoder Alonso (Athletics)

Padres: You might see Trevor Cahill in a new uniform by August 1st. It’s loToking like there is going to be a trade Brad Hand for Justin Wilson of the Tigers.

Phillies: They are trying to unload Pat Neshek, no word on who they are  looking to replace him with.

Reds: Threeway trade rumors between the Athletics, Reds, Giants involving Zack Cozart, Jed Lowrie, and Eduardo Nunez.

Tigers: Alex Avila hasn’t been performing well and I’m certain that the Tigers will find better options quickly. He is an ideal second catcher but not the right fit here.

White Sox: Melky Cabrera has made himself appeal, despite having a lot of contract left, so who knows if he’ll be wearing the black and white after the deadline passes.
