Washington Redskins Draft Preview; 2016 Schedule Released
With the NFL Draft set to begin on April 28th, let’s take a look at this year’s Washington Redskins Draft Preview and schedule.
Washington Redskins Draft Preview
The Washington Redskins find themselves sitting in the 21st spot in this year’s draft. The Skins solidified the once huge hole at QB by announcing Kirk Cousins as the man going forward. While few may be sold on the long term prospect of this decision, it allows the Redskins to focus on other needs.
Recent upgrades to their once abysmal offensive line will allow them to concentrate more on the defensive side of the ball – most notably the players up front. Their current defensive line is combined of players who are either looming retirement or are coming up on free agency, leaving many potential holes in the not-too-distant future. Washington will most likely look to secure this need first.
Aside from contractual issues dictating this need, they need more talent and certainly more depth if they want to be able to compete better and stay in games.
