New York Giants Draft Preview; 2016 Schedule Released
With the NFL Draft set to begin on April 28, let’s take a look at this year’s New York Giants Draft Preview and Schedule.
The New York Giants are currently sitting at the #10 spot in this year’s draft. The Giants have needs everywhere it seems, but none more so than that of a pass rusher. Whether they bring back Jason Pierre-Paul or obtain another player in trade, they need to find someone on the edge who is going to be a cornerstone of that line.
Pierre-Paul is playing with three fewer fingers now that he decided playing with firecrackers was a smart idea. Unfortunately for Big Blue, the lot of available free agent pass-rushers is relatively scarce. The Giants’ haven’t used a pick on a defensive player since 2011, which is clearly evident.
The Giants could also afford a top wide receiver too. With the departure of Rueben Randle to conference rival Philadelphia this off-season and the question marks inevitably surrounding Victor Cruz, who is left to help take some heat off of Odell Beckham Jr? I can tell you, there isn’t one.
Don’t be surprised if the G-Men also look to revitalize their aging backfield or bolster the secondary in spots. A top tier running back or safety would also fill some weak spots that they have presently. They can go a lot of ways and accommodate some weaknesses they have, but no matter what they do, they have to get better.
Giants’ Top Prospects

S – Keanu Neal (Florida), Miles Killebrew (Southern Utah)
