Arizona Cardinals Draft Preview; 2016 Schedule Released
With the NFL Draft set to begin on April 28th, let’s take a look at this year’s Arizona Cardinals Draft Preview and schedule.
Arizona Cardinals Draft Preview
Sitting at #29, the Arizona Cardinals are laser focused on the defensive side of the ball. They need someone to help out Patrick Peterson in the secondary. After also losing Safety Rashad Johnson to free agency, they need help there as well and have to try and add long-term depth back deep to become formidable against the pass.
The Cardinals’ defense has always thrived off an aggressive line upfront, as well. Arizona will also look to add a disruptive pass-rusher on the outside, as incumbents Frostee Rucker and Cory Redding aren’t exactly spring chickens.
They could use a big presence with top talent in the middle at linebacker to help serve as the nucleus of a defense they pride themselves on. Look for the Cards to try and replenish a somewhat depleted defensive all around.
Cardinals’ Top Prospects
S – Miles Killebrew (Southern Utah), Keanu Neal (Florida), Karl Joseph (West Virginia)
CB – Jalen Ramsey (Florida State), Vernon Hargreaves (Florida), Makensie Alexander (Clemson)
